Women's Golf Squad Competes at Minnesota Invitational
The Truman State University women's golf team faced some stiff competition on Saturday and Sunday at the University of Minnesota Invitational in St. Paul, Minn. The Bulldogs finished 11th in the tournament, which was held on the 72 par, 5939-yard Les Bolstad Golf Course.
The Bulldogs finished with a two-day score of 714. On Saturday, Truman carded a 359 and on Sunday the team ended with a 355. Junior Betsy Driskill (Liberty, Mo.) led the 'Dogs with a two-day score of 170 (87-83) to tie for 45th place overall. Sophomore Amy Franzen (Highland, Ill.) shot a 182 (95-87) to tie for 68th.
The tournament field was comprised of mostly NCAA Division I schools, with Truman and Grand Valley State (Mich.) the lone Division II representatives.
