'Dogs Open Fall Campaign With Win at Rockhurst
The Truman State University women's golf team opened the 2001 fall season by winning a triangular meet at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo.
The Bulldogs, led by medalist and sophomore Erin Fogarty, finished with a total of 336 in the meet, outdistancing second-place William Woods by 26 strokes.
Fogarty shot a 77 to win medalist honors by four strokes and lead four Bulldogs in the top five. Senior Amy Franzen and junior Jill Schulte each had 86s for third place, while senior Becky Costello placed fifth with an 87.
Freshman Katie Harms rounded out the Truman scoring as she tallied a 96.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 9-10, at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
