Notching their second-straight victory and making history at the same time, the Bulldogs continued the MIAA season with a win over the Ichabods of Washburn.
In the first quarter, Truman and Washburn traded scores to tie the game at seven. Then, with 1:15 left in the quarter, Jarrett Anderson rushed for 5-yards to break Dale "Paley" Mills' 36-year-old MIAA career rushing record. The Bulldogs continued their celebration by adding two scores of 5-yards by Jim Orsulak and 49-yards by Anderson before Washburn managed a TD to conclude the half at 21-14.
Truman widened the margin in the third quarter with a Deric Johnson 49-yard touchdown pass from Nate Minnis and a 27-yard field goal by Kyle Fischer. Washburn scored on a 66-yard pass, but it was answered on the next possession with a 1-yard run by Minnis to finish the game.
