The Bulldogs spoiled Missouri Western's homecoming and chalked up their second win in a row and fourth in the conference. After a scoreless first quarter, Kyle Fischer kicked a 23-yard field goal followed by an 8-yard touchdown run by Bret Yoder to give Truman a 10-0 lead at halftime.

In the third period, Fischer again opened the scoring with a 33-yard field goal. The Bulldogs added two more touchdowns on a 13-yard run by Jarrett Anderson and a 25-yard pass reception by Chris Amick from Nate Minnis. The Griffons finally got on the board late in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard touchdown run, but with 0:41 left freshman quarterback Moni Fearn scored on a 2-yard touchdown run.
