Jarrett Anderson enjoyed another record-setting day as he broke the MIAA single-season rushing record, MIAA career touchdown record and tied the Truman single game rushing record as the Bulldogs stomped Emporia State, 55-20.

In what was touted at the matchup of the year among DII running backs, the ESU contest saw Anderson pitted against Brian Shay who was just six yards ahead of Anderson in rushing for the year.

Anderson started the scoring with a 5-yard run which was answered by a Hornet 15-yard touchdown run. Anderson added two of his six touchdowns next, on runs of 11- and 6-yards, before Emporia State could match with one of its own. With 0:01 left in the half, Nate Minnis connected with James Ross on a 50-yard bomb to give the Bulldogs a 28-14 lead.

Anderson duplicated his 5-yard run in the first quarter with one in the third for his fourth TD. A 51-yard scoring pass by the Hornets failed to slow the Bulldogs, who scored on a run of 53-yards by Anderson and a 22-yard pass from Minnis to Chris Amick. In the final score of the game, Anderson netted his sixth touchdown of the game, finishing with 306 yards rushing to Shay's 189.
